Plan My Trip to Utah National Parks

Congratulations, you’ve decided to take a vacation to Utah’s many parks! You won’t regret it – now let’s get planning so once you step foot in a park you can be awed by the sunsets, canyon overlooks, and condors, and not distracted by the logistics of the trip itself.

4 Steps to Planning a Utah Park Vacation

Step 1: Sign up for your Free Trip Planning Kit. You’ll receive a Utah Parks vacation guide, brochures, coupons, and emails that will help you plan your trip.

Step 2: Decide how you’ll travel to the park. Most people do a road trip vacation either starting from home or a large airport. Make the trip to the park a fun one by stopping at attractions on the way. Once you get to the park, you’ll need a vehicle, bike, or tour transportation to get around, or during vacation season you can ride the park shuttles available in some Utah National Parks.

Step 3: Reserve your hotel or campsite. Depending on what time of year you are visiting Utah, you’ll want to reserve lodging from one month to one year in advance.

Step 4: Before you go, check our pages about Utah weather and gear so you can pack for the elements. You will need a jacket and a good pair of shoes no matter what season you are visiting in.

We know you’ll have a wonderful time!
