Feel like an Olympian at Utah Olympic Park
Ever wanted to experience going down a sheet of ice at top speed in a bobsled?
Head to the Utah Olympic Park in Park City to ride the 2002 Olympic Sliding Track. Captained by a seasoned pilot, you will climb on board a bobsled and tear down the track, reaching speeds of more than 60 miles per hour. In the summer, the bobsled runs on wheels down a concrete track, but in winter it travels on ice just as you see the Olympians do.
Once you are done, take advantage of the other summer activities offered at Utah Olympic Park. In summer, there’s an adventure course, alpine slide, summer tubing. For those 7 and older, you can learn how to ski jump by taking a Freestyle Signature Session, which includes learning skills on the trampoline and working up to mini-ramp and single ramp, if the coach feels its right for you. Instead of landing on a snow-packed hill, you land in a pool.

When you are ready to take a break from all the adrenaline-related activities, head to the park’s two museums- the Alf Engen Ski Museum and the Eccles Salt Lake 2002 Winter Games Museum. These state-of-the-art museums offer interactive touch screens, virtual reality ski theater and highlights from the 2002 Winter Olympics.
