Accommodations are gorgeous, safari-inspired canvas Suite Tents. Each suite has a bedroom wing with a king-sized bed and a main area with a queen-sized sofa bed, making it easy to travel with the family. Parachute bedding and Pendleton blankets will keep you cozy at night and a private, ensuite bathroom with a waterfall shower and bath products from Aesop will leave you feeling refreshed. The tents have evaporative cooling systems, as well as wood-burning stoves, which means you’ll be the perfect temperature no matter what season you visit. Each suite has a large, private deck and tents are situated so you’ll have uninhibited views of the surrounding landscape. You can even see Canyonlands in the distance. The property is surrounded on three sides by gorgeous red rock cliffs, providing a natural feeling of being tucked away. Before you go to bed, roast a marshmallow over the campfire and turn it into a s’more with artisan chocolate.

After a day spent exploring, take advantage of the hot and cool dipping pools on-site to relax. In the lobby building, you’ll find a lounge and restaurant, artfully designed using natural elements like local stone to mesh with the surroundings. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner al fresco, with a Southwest-inspired seasonal menu. Be sure to order a craft cocktail that utilizes desert ingredients like sage, juniper and prickly pear. An espresso and fresh juice bar serves drinks and grab n’ go food options if you want to get to the trails faster.

Speaking of trails, ULUM Moab is located 30 minutes from Arches National Park and 45 minutes from Canyonlands, but you can hike from your tent’s front door on the property’s 200 acres of red rock desert, too. You can also join a complimentary morning yoga class, or enjoy a morning cleansing ritual and live music later in the day. ULUM Moab’s Adventure Concierge can help you book tours and activities like mountain biking, white water rafting and rock climbing on Looking Glass Arch through local outfitters.

Under Canvas is committed to sustainability and its ULUM brand is no different. You’ll find Rivian Waypoint chargers at the Moab property, which will charge your electric vehicle. If you don’t have a Rivian, be sure to bring an adaptor. The resort adheres to International Dark Sky standards, meaning light pollution is minimized. It makes the property a great place to stargaze. Other sustainability initiatives include construction materials like thermally modified lumber, recycled paper board walls and showers and sinks that help minimize carbon footprints through sequestration.

ULUM Moab’s 2023 season will run March 30 through October 23.
