Go Retro in Moab at the Expedition Lodge

You’ll know you’ve reached your destination in Moab, Utah, when you see a yellow Jeep, top off and family of four inside, suspended above you in the parking lot. This is Expedition Lodge. The retro vibes will immediately take you back to a time before the kids could block out rounds of “99 Bottles” with earbuds and Spotify, when the journey was the destination, not the Instagram-worthy view.

Located in the adventure hub of downtown Moab, Expedition Lodge is just minutes from some of the Southwest’s most stunning public lands. Iconic Arches National Park is just minutes away and the breath-taking views at Canyonlands National Park are only a 35-minute drive.

Traveling with your dog? The lesser known, but equally impressive, Dead Horse Point State Park is a 40-minute drive and allows your leashed furry friend to explore the trails with you. Expedition Lodge also allows pets for no additional fee.

After a day spent exploring everything eastern Utah has to offer, you’ll be just a short walk from Moab’s best restaurants and breweries. Or, choose to stay in and relax next to the year-round, heated outdoor pool. There’s even a waterslide. Pick up some groceries at the nearby City Market and use the property’s barbeque grills to soak up every last drop of desert sunlight. On warm nights, you won’t want to go inside as millions of stars appear in the sky above once the sun goes down.
