Nestled under red-rock walls and next to a sea of green grass, the Zion Lodge’s Red Rock Grill makes for a dramatic setting for an early breakfast before a day of hiking or to celebrate special occasions like Mother’s Day. An open-air terrace seats 50 and is a great way to start the morning outdoors, if it is not too hot.
Start off with a cappuccino, latte or single or double-shot espresso as you discuss your hiking plans for the day. You can order breakfast a la carte or splurge on the buffet, if you are looking for a hearty breakfast to fuel a long day of hiking.
The Red Rock Grill’s Wild Cat Breakfast Buffet includes eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, French toast, potatoes and other breakfast items. It includes coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks. It costs $12.95 for adults and $8.50 for children 12 and under.
A la carte items include the Zion Western Omelet, a three-egg omelet filled with pepper jack cheese, sausage, bell peppers and onions served with a side of salsa. The Weeping Rock Waffle is a Belgian waffle served with maple syrup or house-made sweet cactus syrup.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and is first-come, first-seated. Winter hours can vary, so please call 435-772-7760 to find out winter operating hours. Reservations are required for dinner at the Red Rock Grill, so call ahead to book.
